It was finally that moment of the year when the Witches flew to their sabbath over Julia's house. Julia wanted so much to join them and become one of them, like her mother Marysia. Every year she tried, unsuccessfully, to fly away with them on a broomstick. Her Babushka did not tolerate this type of behavior and punished her severely. Perhaps Grandmother didn't want her granddaughter to leave her same as her daughter, who escaped ordinary life and leaving her with young Julia, or maybe she simply did not want to be left alone. In any case, Grandma tried to cut off all Julia's attempts and interest in magic and witchcraft, which of course, only increased her desire to become a Witch.
The second part of the story, from the painting "If only I could". I hope you like it! :)
